Dallas Restaurant Review: Malacca Cafe

I want to recommend a Malaysian restaurant in Southlake, Dallas—Malacca Cafe 👍👍👍 The exterior of the restaurant is quite ordinary, but once you step inside, you’ll find a very fresh and cozy decor. It’s very tranquil, and the service is excellent. ✨Appetizer: Grilled Chicken Skewers As soon as the dish was served, the aroma was so inviting. The satay flavor was distinct but not overpowering. Unlike some other places where the taste is just curry, the flavor here was well - balanced and infused into the chicken. The chicken itself was very tender. The dipping sauce had a slightly sweet, peanut - flavored taste, which was quite unique and delicious. After finishing the skewers, my partner even mixed the sauce into his noodles! 🧁Main Course: Hainanese Chicken Rice The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce was light but perfectly seasoned. The rice was a highlight—it had a golden hue, likely from being mixed with chicken broth and fat. It was so fragrant and flavorful. 🍩Seafood Fried Flat Noodles The noodles were about two centimeters wide and flat. They were stir - fried with a lot of wok - hei (the smoky, seared flavor from stir - frying). There were plenty of shrimp, squid, and other seafood in the dish. 🍰Curry Chicken with Coconut Rice This was another standout dish. The curry was rich and flavorful but not overly spicy. The chicken was tender and well - seasoned. The coconut rice added a touch of sweetness and creaminess, making the dish even more delicious. The seasoning was just right—neither too salty nor artificial - tasting. It’s a healthier and more natural option. #DallasLife #LifeInNorthAmerica #DallasExplore #CurryChicken
