Dallas Restaurant Review: Turan

I actually went to this restaurant two weeks ago, and I'm just now clearing out my photo album and writing this review. This was my second visit to the restaurant, and I wanted to try all the dishes. This time, I ordered the lamb leg hand-pulled rice (I personally thought it was more fragrant than the first time, not sure why, and the meat was also more tender than before, haha). I also had the fried meat noodles 🍜, which had a unique sweet, sour, and spicy flavor. It was based on tomatoes🍅, with vinegar, onions, green peppers, and a small amount of meat, along with a portion of chewy noodles. The dish cost nearly $20, which I thought was a bit pricey, but it's still a must-try if you want to experience the taste. 🌶️I also ordered the braised lamb pot, which I ordered right away because it takes about 25 minutes to prepare. It costs $39 per serving, and there's a lot of lamb—though I couldn't tell if it was lamb ribs, lamb spine, or just chunks of lamb. It was delicious and filling, and there was even naan bread at the bottom. In terms of both taste and value for money, I think it's better than the big plate of chicken. 🫓As for the lamb skewers, well, they were just pure lean meat, without the fatty aroma that I'm used to from back home. They didn't taste as good as the ones I've had in China. Two skewers cost $10, and I probably won't order them again. 🥟For two people, we had three main dishes and two lamb skewers. Including the tip, it came to nearly $110, which was a bit over our budget. But since we didn't finish everything, we took the leftovers home and had another meal. I probably won't be going back anytime soon, but I'll definitely return when I miss the food. #WeeklyFoodieCheckIn #DallasLife
