Dallas Sashimi at Sea Travel
🌟A few weeks ago, when I was at Carrollton's Paris Baguette to buy some bread, I spotted this place. I initially thought it was a fish shop selling whole fish. It was only after a quick Google search that I realized it was a Korean-owned restaurant. So, on Friday evening after work, I immediately got a friend together to give it a try. We ordered the Chef's choice sashimi platter in the large size and added my usual favorites: sweet shrimp, scallops, and sea urchin sushi. In a word: fresh! And it was more than enough for two people. If you don't have a big appetite, the medium size would definitely be sufficient. 😅 🌸As with any Korean restaurant, they provided complimentary side dishes: spicy stir-fried rice cakes and kelp. The kelp was incredibly fragrant and very appetizing, while the spicy rice cakes were just okay. The complimentary fried squid rings served by the restaurant were amazing! They were so chewy and seemed freshly caught from the aquarium next to the restaurant and fried on the spot. They were delicious! 🎢I also saw the server bringing a large platter of flounder sashimi to another table. Overall, the restaurant is not too cheap and the menu is almost entirely raw fish. However, they do offer free hot miso soup (a bit salty) to warm up your stomach. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very authentic Korean. (The only downside is that the server seemed a bit impatient.) The restaurant has a whole fridge full of Korean soju and drinks. My friend and I tried a Lisa special mix of soju, Milkis, and beer, which was really tasty! #RestaurantReview #Dallas #DallasFoodie #DallasLife
