Dallas Slow Life: Happiness in the Little Things

šŸ”„Since moving to Big-Tex Dallas, I’ve noticed a few things that feel very different from the Bay Area or Seattle—especially when you have kids in tow. Kid-friendly fast food is everywhere šŸ™With a toddler, finding a spot where you can eat in peace while they burn energy is gold. In Dallas, almost every McDonald’s (I’d guess 95 %) has a PlayPlace—compared to maybe 5 % in the Bay or Seattle. Most have been renovated recently. Chick-fil-A is the same: 90 % have indoor play areas, and they’re not all cookie-cutter. I now visit one or the other every single week. Neighborhood ā€œcityā€ systems are abundant 🄩Every surrounding city runs its own recreation centers, pools, libraries, sports leagues, and classes—high quality and very affordable. Systems don’t overlap, but if you’re within a 15-minute drive you can usually buy a day pass or membership. That means three or four different, fully-equipped, low-cost networks are at your fingertips, so you can rotate and never get bored. And if you prefer commercial gyms or swim schools, those options are everywhere too. #EverydayJoy #DallasLife #TexasLiving
