Dallas TX State Fair: Ultimate Guide to Kid-Friendly Fun

We took the kids out early on Saturday morning and had a great time exploring for several hours before wrapping up—both the kids and adults enjoyed it! Here are some recommendations for activities suitable for young children and some delicious fair food to try: ✅ Dinosaurs at the Lagoon – This is an artificial lake featuring various-sized dinosaur 🦖 exhibits, along with a small dinosaur-themed playground perfect for little ones. You can also go boating on the lake, but we skipped it due to the heat and instead attended the 10:30 AM Dino Time with Professor T. Rex show. Surprisingly, the show was fantastic, and our kid watched the whole thing attentively. ✅ Pig Race – After taking photos with the mascot Big Tex, we headed toward the animal barn area. Next to the giant brown cowboy boots, you’ll find the pig racing venue. It was our first time watching pig races, and those little piggies were surprisingly fast! ✅ Majesty of the Horse – We originally just wanted a cool place to eat lunch but stumbled upon this equestrian show. The free performance was impressively high-quality, especially the two young girls performing daring stunts on horseback. Our kid clapped along in excitement the whole time! 👏 ✅ Oncor Petting Farm – They had goats, alpacas, ostriches, cows, donkeys, and even buffalo. Visitors could feed the animals, and both kids and adults had a blast. 🥳 After the petting farm, our little one was completely out of energy. There were still some great activities we didn’t get to, like the Livestock Birthing Barn, as well as the truck show and live music areas—we didn’t make it to those before heading home. #NorthAmericanLife #Dallas #DallasLife #AroundDallas #DallasKidsActivities
