Dallas Weekend | Hot Springs Travel Guide 1
Hot Springs National Park is one of the closest national parks to Dallas, about a 4.5- to 5-hour drive away. Day 1 💎 Ron Coleman Mining I highly recommend this crystal-digging activity! It costs $25 for adults, and you can buy a shovel there for $6. You can actually find some really beautiful-looking crystals. Remember to wear sunscreen if you go at noon in the summer. PS. A little advertisement here for my roommate and me: we’re looking to sell our shovels. Please consider taking them off our hands! 😭 Hot Springs National Park Since it’s a national park, we wanted to see some nature. We hiked what was supposed to be the best trail, but we were really disappointed. Any trail in the Bay Area would be better than this one. If you must, the Goat Rock Trail and Upper Dogwood Trail are somewhat decent, but I strongly suggest skipping the hiking altogether if you’re short on time. 🥘 For dinner, we went to the German restaurant Steinhaus Keller. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we had to sit at the bar. There’s also a very popular restaurant called DONS Southern Social, which requires a reservation. They don’t accept walk-ins. When we went, they wouldn’t seat us without one. #Dallas #DallasLife #AroundDallas #DallasWeekend #HotSpringsNationalPark
