Day 1 of Our 10-Day Road Trip from Tokyo to Kansai and Shikoku(2)
Then we headed to Nukumori no Mori (Warm Forest), a fairy-tale forest. It's beautiful, but it's really small! π’π Today happened to be Christmas, and there was even a Santa Claus handing out candy! There aren't many houses, but each one is super charming and feels like it's straight out of a fairy tale. πΈπ The little trinkets inside are cute, and there are lots of snacks. You could easily spend an hour or two wandering around. π² π’π We went back to the hotel, the Hotel Concord. It looks decent from the outside, but the rooms are super tiny, and the facilities are nothing special. There's no onsen or big bathhouse either, so I wouldn't recommend it. πΈπ The only plus is that you can see Hamamatsu Castle from the hotel, so at least we got that. π° For dinner, we tried some local dumplings at a place called Dumpling Guy. πΈπThere were lots of different types of dumplings. Some were pretty good. It was my first time trying dumplings with chicken wings wrapped inside, and of course, my oldest son loved the cheese dumplings. π’π I wouldn't recommend the shrimp dumplings or the "lady dumplings," though. π₯ We're hitting the road again tomorrow! π #KansaiShikokuRoadTrip #Hamamatsu #FairyTaleForest π
