Day 2 in Los Angeles 🌅
1️⃣ The Getty Museum Seeing works by Picasso and Monet made my trip to the U.S. already worthwhile! 🎨 The collection was stunning, especially the 15th-century Italian paintings, rare books, and sculptures. The museum is beautifully designed, well-organized, and—best of all—free to enter! 📝 Tip: Book tickets in advance online. Parking is paid, but if you visit Getty Villa later the same day, ask security for a parking pass at the exit. 2️⃣ The Getty Villa The villa’s architecture is classically elegant and incredibly relaxing. 🏛️ During my visit, there was a special Egyptian exhibition—definitely worth exploring. The on-site café is spacious and offers lovely light meals in a pleasant setting. 3️⃣ Santa Monica Sunset on the Ferris wheel—yes! 🎡 In winter, there’s a short line around sunset. Tickets are $16 per person at the entrance. The ride is gentle, not too high or fast, and they offer a pause after the first round to let anyone exit if needed. Note: Phones aren’t allowed during the ride. The view? Pure magic—sunset, ocean, seagulls, pink skies, and music in the air. 🌊✨ 🍽️ Dinner at La Ong A highly rated Thai restaurant near Rodeo Drive. The dishes were modern and decent, though not mind-blowing. The atmosphere was lovely, though tables were a bit small and close together. Another beautiful day in LA—already dreaming of my next visit! 💙 #LA #LosAngeles #GettyMuseum #GettyVilla #SantaMonica #SunsetViews #TravelDiary #ArtLovers #CaliforniaAdventures #ThaiFood #FerrisWheel #WeekendVibes
