Day Trip from London | Exploring the Cotswolds

When the sun’s out, it’s time to wander ☀️ With a rare sunny day in London, we headed to the Cotswolds for a relaxing escape. 🚗 Private Car Route: London → Bibury (~1.5h) → Bourton-on-the-Water → Upper/Lower Slaughter → Broadway Tower → Oxford 🗺️ 📍 Bibury Known as England’s most peaceful village. It’s tiny—you can walk around in just 10 minutes. The iconic row of cottages at the entrance is the perfect spot for photos. 📸🍃 📍 Bourton-on-the-Water A lively little town with strong Shakespearean vibes 🎭. Even on a weekday, it was bustling! The only downside: almost no internet connection 📵. Lots of souvenir shops, a very shallow river, ducks 🦆, and happy dogs 🐕 everywhere. Super photogenic under the sun! 📍 Upper/Lower Slaughter A quiet riverside village with few visitors. Very serene 🍂. Not necessarily a must-see this season, but worth a quick stop if you’re passing by. There’s a pretty church ⛪ that’s nice for photos. 📍 Broadway Tower Located in the northern Cotswolds. You can hike up from Broadway village to reach the tower 🏰—said to be on the cover of an old UK Lonely Planet! Lots of “silly sheep” around 🐑… and apparently a deer farm nearby (though we didn’t see it). The wind at the tower is no joke—bring a coat! 🧥💨 Ended the day in Oxford, but we were too tired to take many photos 😅📚 #AncientVillages #OffbeatTravel #QuietVillages #London #AroundLondon #DayTripFromLondon #UKTowns #BritishCountryside #MostBeautifulVillages #EuropeTravel #HiddenGems 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✨
