DC-Area Zoo Adventure | Driver Through Safari🗺️

📍Nova Wild Admission: $20 per person; Grain: $20 per bucket The zoo is divided into two sections: the drive-through safari and the regular zoo area. In the drive-through section, you can drive your own car around a loop, feeding the animals and getting up close and personal with them. The area isn't huge, but there are plenty of animal species. When feeding them, I was a bit scared because they can be quite loud and energetic! 😂 The animals are really smart. If you put the grain in the middle of the car, they'll even stick their heads inside to find it. I recommend feeding them small amounts at a time to avoid being overwhelmed by a crowd of hungry animals. Keep any leftover grain hidden under your seat, or they'll keep reaching in! 🐶 The regular zoo section also has a wide variety of animals, including capybaras—those funny, large rodents! I also saw a muscular little kangaroo hopping around. 🦘 ⚠️ **Important Note:** Do not open the sunroof of your car. When we first drove in, we missed the ticket booth and went straight in. We were warned later when we went to get our tickets and grain. It's important to follow the rules, especially when there's grain in the car, as the animals can get very excited and rush towards the vehicle. 🚗 🐂 🐄 🦌 #DCarea #Zoo #UpCloseWithAnimals #WalkingInTheZoo #PettingZoo #ZooAdventures #AnimalEncounters #ZooLife #AnimalInteraction #CloseEncountersWithAnimals #HumanAndAnimalHarmony #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCarea #DC #ThingsToDoInWashingtonDC #HiddenGemsInTheEast #DMVWeekendGetaway
