DC Delicious Dining 🫶🏻 Blue Duck Tavern

I've revisited the former Michelin-starred Blue Duck Tavern in DC for the second time in six months, and I still can't stop thinking about that whole duck! Despite mixed reviews online, I was thoroughly impressed with the whole duck at Blue Duck Tavern. The duck, smoked and dry-aged for two weeks, has a truly unique flavor profile. The sweet and tangy pear sauce is the soul of this dish—before trying it, I was a bit skeptical, but after the first bite, I was blown away! 🍖 I also enjoyed the other dishes immensely: 💜 **Starters**: - Soft-Poached Duck Egg, Carolina Gold Rice Porridge (though called porridge, it feels more like a unique take on risotto—very special) - Oyster, Wood Oven-Roasted Bone Marrow (the oysters had a slightly spicy seasoning, and the bone marrow was incredibly aromatic!) 💙 **Desserts**: - Grapefruit Posset and ice cream - While I found the Grapefruit Posset to be just okay, the ice cream was a delightful surprise. The vanilla ice cream is likely the house specialty, with a rich vanilla flavor and visible vanilla seeds. It's a bit on the sweet side, while the chocolate ice cream is less sweet and pairs perfectly with the vanilla. #BeautifulMeals #AmbianceDining #DCFoodieAdventures #DMVRestaurantReview #DMVRestaurants #DCFood #FoodRecommendations #WashingtonDCFood #MichelinRestaurant #100RestaurantChallenge
