Delicious Fried Cactus in Fort Worth, Near Dallas
🌟In the heart of Fort Worth, there's a restaurant called Don Artemio. It's one of the highest-rated traditional Mexican eateries among locals. The all-wooden decor is particularly beautiful and very comfortable to look at. The dining environment is top-notch, and the service is excellent. It's definitely worth recommending! 🥳The must-try dish here is the Fried Cactus, known as Napalitos Fritos. It has a slightly chewy texture and a tangy flavor. It comes with a tortilla made from purple corn. You place a small amount of cactus shreds on the tortilla, add some guacamole, scoop a bit of salsa, and roll it all together. It's truly delicious. The tortillas here are all made from purple corn, unlike the dry ones you often find in typical American Mexican restaurants. 😂These freshly made tortillas have a chewy, warm-dough texture that's enjoyable on its own. The guacamole is an extra, but I highly recommend trying it. It has a smooth, almost ice cream-like consistency with no chunky bits, just the rich, fresh flavor of avocado. The avocado dip also comes with a side of purple corn tortillas, which is perfect if you want more after finishing the fried cactus. ✨We visited during lunchtime, so besides the fried cactus, we ordered two items from the lunch menu. These are reduced portions of the same dishes on the dinner menu. One was a quesadilla and the other was the chef's special tacos (with three different flavors). The quesadilla was made with purple corn tortillas filled with chicken and cheese, topped with a layer of refried beans. #DallasFood #DallasLife #DallasSurroundings #StoreExploration
