🍣 Des Moines Sushi Review | Akebono 515 – Top 3 Sushi Spot!

As a sushi lover, I’ve now tried all three of Des Moines’ top-rated sushi places (Miyabi 9, Akebono 515, and W Tao). Here’s my take on Akebono 515 based on two visits! 🍽️ What We Ordered (for two): Tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) – Better than other local spots, but not mind-blowing. Salmon Roe – Sweet and delicious (sold out on our second visit 😢). Eel – Standard quality, similar to other top sushi bars. Beef Bowl – Too salty! 🧂 Half a bowl made me drink two glasses of water. Pork Cutlet Bowl – Overcooked and dry, but edible. 🍱 Sushi Rolls: We tried a few specialty rolls (forgot the names!), and they were solid – fresh fish, creative combos, and decent portions. ⭐ Verdict: Sushi: Good, but not exceptional. Cooked Dishes: Underwhelming (skip the rice bowls!). Ambiance: Cozy and authentic, great for dates or small groups. 📍 Address: 215 10th St Suite 120, Des Moines, IA 50309 💬 Personal Rank: Miyabi 9 W Tao Akebono 515 #DesMoines #SushiLover #Akebono515 #IowaEats #JapaneseFood #FoodReview
