Where Modern American 🇺🇸 Meets Romantic France 🇫🇷

💛Visiting Des Moines for the first time, a city once deeply influenced by French culture, I was struck by its quiet, 🥯 almost detached atmosphere—yet stepping through the door of Django revealed a completely different scene: the restaurant was nearly full, buzzing with warmth and energy. 🍕Django cleverly retains French elements in its menu and décor, with some dish names still written in French, echoing the city’s historical connection to France. 🥨We ordered the Seafood Platter, which was generously filled with fresh and sweet oysters, shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. 🥐The medium-rare ribeye steak was expertly cooked, rich and flavorful, and paired perfectly with crispy French fries and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. It was an immensely satisfying meal. 🧀The restaurant’s ambiance is modern yet artistic, with French touches elegantly integrated—a clear reflection of the owner’s refined taste. 🔍Address: 1420 Locust St, Des Moines, IA 50309 #AmericanStyle #FrenchCuisine #DesMoines
