Desert Oasis Palm Springs🔥 Travel & Food Guide
After 8 years, we returned to Palm Springs! This time, we flew from Vancouver ✈️ to LAX and then drove here by rental car. 🚗 Stops along the way from LA: ⭐️ Ontario Mills Mall – Large shopping center ⭐️ Desert Hills Premium Outlets – Luxury brand outlets ⭐️ Hadley Fruit Orchards – Google 4.5-rated, famous for Date Shake ⭐️ Cabazon Dinosaurs – Giant dinosaur photo spot ⭐️ Evening stops at Costco & Trader Joe’s for water and snacks 🌴 Day 1: ⭐️ Breakfast at Sherman's (downtown Palm Springs location highly recommended, Google 4.6) ⭐️ Joshua Tree National Park – Start at the West Entrance Visitor Center for route guidance and tickets. Easy driving with clear signage. Our route: Enter from North Gate → Arch Rock (most recommended!) → Skull Rock → Barker Dam → Hidden Valley ⭐️ Afternoon at Marriott Desert Springs Resort – Instagrammable flamingos 🦩, beautiful hotel grounds, free parking 🌴 Day 2: ⭐️ Breakfast at Elmer's Restaurant (Google 4.6, 6K reviews) – Try their signature German pancakes ⭐️ Palm Springs Downtown – Stroll along Palm Canyon Drive, visit the Forever Marilyn statue, and hike the Museum Trail for a stunning city view (highly recommended!) ⭐️ Afternoon at Indian Canyon – Andreas Canyon Trailhead is photogenic and worth visiting (we skipped it this time as we’d been before) 🎈 Local Recommendations: •Art Smith Trailhead (1-hour hike, skipped due to time) – Good for hiking enthusiasts •Tahquitz Canyon & Josie Johnson Vista Park – Scenic spots with high ratings •Pioneer Town – A Wild West-themed town 20 mins from Joshua Tree, fun for photos but skip if short on time •Highly-rated nearby eateries: 🔥 Pappy + Harriet's (Google 4.5, 4K reviews) – BBQ 🔥 Algoberto's Taco Shop (Google 4.6) – Tacos #PalmSprings #TravelGuide #DesertOasis #CaliforniaTravel #USATravel #FoodAndTravel #JoshuaTree #TravelTips
