Dilieto: A 113-Year-Old Downtown Staple

Dilieto EC4A 2EA Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price: £7.25 ⭐️The shop is located on Fleet Street, very close to the KCL Library. It is easy to spot with its blue and white awning. If you see a long line around the corner during weekdays, that’s definitely the place (closed on weekends). It only operates in the morning and closes at 3 p.m. in the afternoon. It truly caters to the working crowd. Of course, at a sandwich shop, you should try the sandwiches. The various combinations are listed on the sign outside. Just order by number when you go in. I’ve tried the Dilieto Melts No. 2/9/10. The highlight of each flavor is the fresh ingredients. They are served hot and freshly made. After being prepared on-site, they are put into the microwave for you. The portions are large and filling. You can cut them in half and have two meals. ⭐️As someone who cares not only about the food itself but also the interaction with the staff, although the shop is small and doesn’t allow for dining in, and you usually just grab the sandwich and leave during rush hours, each of the elderly gentlemen is very kind and friendly. The family-run hospitality is always warm and welcoming! ⭐️As you can tell from the name, this is an Italian shop. It is located in the city center and is famous for its long history of 113 years! The Italian family-owned tradition has been passed down to the third generation at Dilieto. However, in 2015, it was taken over by another family of four siblings from Spain. The delicious focaccia and olive panini remain unchanged. ⭐️After all, it’s a £7.25 sandwich in the city center that can feed you for two meals. If you are in the area, take advantage of the recent sunny weather and walk along the Thames River to the north. If the line is short, don’t miss it! #London Sandwiches #Central London Food #London Cuisine #Blackfriars
