Dining Experience at La Mar Bellevue
The service was a bit slow, so we kept snacking on the complimentary sweet potato chipsâwent through three rounds! đ€ Appetizer Recommendations Roquitas Chiferas Chicken and shrimp tempura with a crispy texture and sweet mayoâsuper tasty! The table favorite. Nigiri Saltado Wagyu skirt nigiri with quail eggâan interesting fusion but just okay for me. Causa de Cangrejo Crab meat with salmon roe and beetrootârefreshing but not particularly exciting. đ„ Main Courses Our party of four ordered three entrees recommended by the serverâfrom a separate menu, which I think were upgraded versions of the regular entrees. From memory: Short Ribs: Tender, flavorful beef with a nice chewy texture. Served with rice, spicy sauce, and veggiesâvery satisfying. Seafood Paella-style Dish (like Arroz con Mariscos): A richer seafood fried rice with shrimp, clams, squid, and octopus. Creamy, flavorful, generous portionâhighly recommend! Lobster & Seafood Platter (like Planchaza la Mar): Lobster, large shrimp, octopus, and halibut. Looked luxurious but the seafood portions were small for the priceâa bit disappointing, though still photogenic. đ° Dessert Tres Leches de Coco: Coconut tres leches cake with milk ice cream and toasted coconut flakes. Rich layers, smooth cream, not overly sweetâcould rival Whole Foodsâ cakes! #Seattle#Seattleguide#Seattlelife#Seattlefood#foodguide
