Dining Out After New Orleans' Once-in-60-Years Snowstorm βοΈπ€
Bourbon House β Surprisingly, the seafood platter was fried (not what we expected!), but the flavor was actually quite satisfying π π. We wanted to order grilled oysters and steamed shrimp later, but the kitchen had already closed early. The server seemed a bit rushed β understandable, since everyone wanted to get home safely during the historic blizzard! βοΈπ Marriott Hotel Bar β The oysters here were just okay β nothing extraordinary, but they had a pleasant, buttery aroma π¦ͺβ¨. Given the extreme weather, many restaurants and bars were closed, so our food options were seriously limited π. Itβs a bit of a shame β this trip left us with several culinary regrets, but that just means weβll have to come back again someday! βοΈβ€οΈ Even amidst the rare snowfall, New Orleansβ cozy atmosphere and resilient spirit still shone through π¨οΈπ«. Until next time, NOLA β keep the gumbo warm and the jazz playing! π·π² #NewOrleansFood #NewOrleans #SnowInNOLA #FoodDiary #TravelEats #WeatherWoops #CulinaryComeback
