Dining with a View of the Ferris Wheel 🎡 A French Afternoon
📍Maximilien Restaurant Has to be said, a sunny day in Seattle is truly beautiful. Enjoying delicious food while looking at the sea view, I found myself slightly tipsy in the afternoon. I really love their cocktails 🍹 After some hesitation, I ordered myself a “The French”. Next time, I definitely want to try “Death in the Afternoon” – seems very fitting for the setting, haha. As for the dishes, I personally enjoyed their oysters, duck leg, and scallops. The oysters are a no-brainer, located right next to Pike, they’re impossible not to be fresh. The salt-crust duck leg is crispy on the outside and tender inside, very flavorful without being too salty – just perfect. The scallops were also very tender. Because I liked them so much, the next day I went to Whole Foods to buy scallops and tried to recreate the dish, haha. I also ordered baked snails and foie gras.Personally, I found them just okay; the foie gras was a bit rich for my taste 😕 But my boyfriend really liked them. I guess it just goes to show that everyone’s taste is different 🤔 Overall, it’s a restaurant that’s quite suitable for a date. Sipping on a drink, feeling the sea breeze, watching the shimmering sea, the Ferris wheel on the water, and the cruise ships in the distance. It was a bright and romantic afternoon etched in my memory. I would definitely go back again just for such scenery. #FrenchCuisine #EveryDayIsWorthRecording #SeattleWeekend #HiddenGemRestaurant #SeattleLife #SeattleFood #SeattleFoodExploration #PikePlaceMarketFood
