Discover Bhutan: Himalayan Gem of Peace & Joyful Living 🏔️
1. A decade ago, I dreamed of visiting Bhutan—a mysterious Himalayan gem. Ten years later, that dream came true. Even the airport baggage carousel felt like a warm welcome! Kudos to our Bhutanese guide: he was amazing. My travel buddy and I are both photography buffs, each carrying a heavy camera bag. From city drives to the 900m vertical hike up Tiger’s Nest, he insisted on lugging our bags. What a legend! 📸 2. Visas? Easy peasy. E-visas cost $40, plus a $100 daily "sustainable development fee." Stay 3 nights? That’s $300 total. Worth every penny for preserving Bhutan’s magic. ✅ 3. Accommodation options are fantastic—from budget stays (a few hundred RMB) to luxury resorts (over 10,000 RMB). Even cheaper hotels are clean and comfortable. No complaints here! 🏨 4. Flights: Direct routes from Bangkok (Thailand), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), etc. Book via Bhutan Airlines官网 for hassle-free tickets. ✈️ 5. Tickets & tips: Most attractions cost 500 BTN (~43 RMB) per person. Tiger’s Nest? 1,000 BTN. You can ride a horse halfway up for ~100 BTN one-way—handy for tired legs! 🐎 6. Important rules: No photos inside temples. Strictly no smoking in public (towns included), but hotels have smoking rooms. Temple visits require long pants; Tiger’s Nest adds a long-sleeve rule. Respect these, and you’re golden. 🙏 7. Free travel is now allowed, but—catch—no guide means no temple access, and only 2 cities to explore. Guides and car rentals are cheap, though. Trust me: a guide unlocks deeper insights. Choose wisely! 🗺️ #BhutanSecrets #HimalayanTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #TigerNestAdventure #TravelTips
