Discovering Irvine’s Super Popular Izakaya — Kappo Honda 🏮

Kappo Honda is truly a gem for late-night bites and drinks with friends—still buzzing at 11 PM, and open daily until midnight! Their menu is impressively diverse: tempura, sushi, yakitori, mains, desserts… you name it! Our favorites: 🐟 Sashimi — Fresh and satisfying. 🍢 Yakitori — Beef tongue, chicken with scallions, gizzard, and spicy chicken skin were all hits. 🍚 Chawanmushi & Fried Rice — Comforting and delicious. 🍤 Tempura Mix — Solid, though I personally prefer Mitsuwa’s tempura bar. We didn’t get to try everything this time—the stir-fried udon at the next table looked amazing too! New items: 🍰 Hokkaido Ice Cream Cake Roll — Yum! 🫘 Red Bean Soup — Very sweet, so order with caution.
