DMV | Tyson’s Japanese Eatery: Salmon Bowl 🍣 & Uni Sashimi

Right under the metro station, there’s a Japanese restaurant that’s perfect for after-work meals—close and delicious! Their salmon sashimi bowl is absolutely amazing! One bowl feels like it’s worth three or four servings elsewhere! The nine-grid sashimi platter is also super fresh! I’ve heard people say their portions are small… but when it arrived, it was huge! Who’s spreading these rumors, LOL! I even packed some for the next day! If you have a small appetite, don’t order too much! 🍱✨ 1️⃣ Taste Of Umi 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This dish changes regularly! Recently, it featured Maine uni (so sweet and no weird aftertaste!). Some other Japanese places serve stale uni, but not here! Special shoutout to their tuna—it literally melts in your mouth! So rich and buttery, it’s my first time experiencing this! They also have a fried dish that might have uni inside—so good! I thought it was fried pork cutlet with cheese, but it turned out to be seafood-flavored! 🍤🧀 2️⃣ Eel Lovers 🌟🌟🌟✨ The portion is thick and generous! I originally wanted to order their signature eel rice bowl, but the owner recommended this instead, saying it’s similar. It’s really good—no skimping just because it’s a smaller portion! 🐟🍚 3️⃣ Sake Don 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Salmon rice bowl! It comes with four types of salmon sashimi. The belly cut is a bit fatty, but the half-cooked one is perfect—crispy outside, tender inside. There’s also a bit of spicy salmon salad on top! 🍣🔥 4️⃣ Takoyaki 🌟🌟🌟 The octopus balls are pretty standard, but they’re generous with the bonito flakes! I love bonito flakes—who else gets it? LOL! 🐙🎉 Sushi Umi #SavorTheFlavors #JapaneseCuisine #DMVfoodie #DMVeats #DMVfood #DMV #DCfoodie #DCfoodexploration #DMVweekend
