Treating myself to a nice meal before on-call starts! 🩺➡️🍷 This restaurant is in Alexandria's Old Town—despite the name "Ada's on the River," it's near the water, not on it. You'll need to sit outside for the view. 🌅🏞️ Must-try: Their dark bread starter! 🍞✨ Super fluffy, served with orange-infused butter—so fresh and delicious. 🧈🍊 🥩 The steak is also a winner—you can see them cooking it over charcoal in the open kitchen. The charred crust adds a smoky depth you don't get from pan-searing. 🔥🥩 The rest? Meh. 😐 The lobster mac & cheese had generous lobster chunks but was overly rich. 🦞🧀 Two other dishes were too oily and lacked visual appeal.
