DMV Family Fun | National Building Museum
🚂 Big Build Special Event! I’ve been to most of the museums in DC during my visits, but during a casual afternoon stroll, I stumbled upon a special event! It was like a paradise for kids! As soon as you enter, there are various booths from different companies and organizations, each showcasing their unique activities. There’s real cement, woodworking, plumbing, building 3D models with marshmallows and spaghetti, glass workshops, painting, and all sorts of hands-on creativity. The highlight is that it’s not just toys—it’s hands-on! Real tools are provided, and staff teach the kids how to use them. I even saw someone making something out of cement 😂. It seemed like you could take your creations home, but we arrived a bit late to fully experience it. There was also a giant spinning dartboard that gave away picture books. All the activities are designed for kids to participate in! It’s a non-stop center of fun! Absolutely perfect. I think kids aged 3-13 can find something to enjoy, but 4-9 years old might be the most suitable age range. I’ve also got the details on this event for everyone.👌 This event, called Big Build, happens once a year (I was really lucky to catch it today). You can find it on the National Building Museum’s website. The date changes every year, but it usually takes place in October. 🎫 There’s no ticket required. You can just walk in without pre-registration. ❤️ Almost every booth gives away little toys! I only took a small hat and a yo-yo, but there were so many things to take home. It’s a really lively event! Keep an eye out for this, everyone! Don’t miss it next year! #DMVFamilyFun #dmvattractions #DC #washingtondcmuseum #kidfriendlyspots #nationalbuildingmuseum #buildingmuseum
