DMV Food Round 2 | Ktownโ€™s Surprisingly Delicious Ginseng Chicken Soup

๐Ÿ’ฐ Average cost: 50๐Ÿ”ช (We pigged out, three people spent 150๐Ÿ”ช, normally it wouldnโ€™t be this much ๐Ÿ˜‚) ๐Ÿ“Œ This is a small restaurant with limited space and lots of people; I was eating back-to-back with the guy behind me ๐Ÿ˜‚ I know Korean food comes with many side dishes, but this is just too many, nearly ten! ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ”† Boiled Pork Belly Bossam This must be the signature dish of the place ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Pork belly + special Ajumma sauce + baby kimchi + spicy radish kimchi + green peppers + garlic slices, pure satisfaction. The spicy radish strips are super crispy and thereโ€™s a generous portion; we finished a little over half with three people. The pork belly has a nice balance of fat and lean, and some pig bristles on the skin, but no one cares, just scrape off the top layer. ๐Ÿ”† Samgye-Tang Every Korean restaurant has its own version of ginseng chicken soup, but this one deserves a mention. It comes out as a pure, white chicken broth; you can taste the original flavor, very fresh and light. Thereโ€™s pepper salt on the side, add to taste; I added half a spoonful, and it was soul-warming. ๐Ÿ” The glutinous rice inside is also very flavorful; I drank more than half a bowl by myself, felt very nourished, the chicken meat was overshadowed ๐Ÿ˜‚ Definitely ordering this again next time. ๐Ÿ”† Bulgogi For meat lovers, this is a must. Itโ€™s sweet and savory, juicy and tender, delicious. Be careful, itโ€™s hot! Donโ€™t ask, I donโ€™t know ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ”† Haemul Pajeon - Seafood Pancake Do you love scallions? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Scallion lovers, come on over! The scallion aroma is overwhelming, with big chunks of squid, very chewy. This is also one of their popular items. โ˜๏ธ ๐Ÿ”† Bibimbap Itโ€™s good, no complaints, but after drinking so much chicken soup, I couldnโ€™t eat rice, normally it should be nice ๐Ÿ‘ โ€ผ๏ธ The service here is not great; Iโ€™ve seen many bad reviews on Google. We were told that our 10% tip was too little and ended up giving 18% ๐Ÿ˜” She kept saying things like, โ€œYou ordered so much, drank so much water, how can you give so little?โ€ ๐Ÿ˜” #DMVEatingAndDrinking #FoodExploration #FoodSharing #DMVFood #Food #MyFoodDiary #WhatToEatInDMV #DMVArea #FoodDiary #dmvfoodexploration #WashingtonDCFood #WashingtonDC #VAFood #WashingtonDCEatingAndDrinking #WashingtonDCTrip #WashingtonDCExploring
