I'm in a tough spot from a rating perspective so please take the time to read this Although the restaurant is named Danji, it's really To Sok Jip 2 which is the second To Sok Jip, the original being in Annandale. Today's adventure had me trying the seafood pancake and my favorite, the grilled Mackerel. Candidly, the Mackerel was the sole reason I came here. Both dishes arrived within a reasonable amount of time and did not disappoint as they were absolutely delicious. It's exactly what I've come to expect from To Sok Jip. However the reason for the poor rating had nothing to do with the food but with the bad practices displayed by the staff cleaning the tables: They clear the plates bowls first leaving the leftover napkins and the cups of water which they then use to wipe down the table. Let me be crystal clear here: They would take the leftover napkins (used by the previous customers), pour some water on it from the leftover cups of water (which were also used by the previous customers) then proceed to wipe the tables. At first I thought it was a fluke and that perhaps they used a fresh napkin and a cup of water that was unused, don't although admittedly I don't know how they could possibly determine that with any certainty. However after seeing this play out at two other tables I was I completely mortified. I observed this well into my meal and began to not only worry about the very table I sat at but also what was happening in areas I the couldn't see like the kitchen. Again the food was great, the waitresses that helped were fantastic but really their cleaning practices have definitely come into question. I'll be back and if they can get this sorted out I'll...

I ordered the kimchi jjigae and it was delicious, however I was with friend's and they were not happy with their order. The service was terrible. My friends aren't familiar with Korean food and asked the staff for recommendations, the staff were very standoff ish, gave room temperature water, did not check on us, could clearly see my friends were happy not with their order and did nothing to fix the situation. When we asked for to-go boxes, they weren't going to give us to-go boxes to pack the side dishes. SO when it came time to tip, I tipped for my soup personally because yes, it was good but my friends genuinely felt the service didn't deserve a tip so they didn't give one. The server brought the receipt back and caught an attitude with them and said "it's not my fault you dont didn't like the food". After never making an attempt to check to even see if they were satisfied with their order once!. Not sure what's going on with the...

I should have said that they might use frozen fish for Kalchi Jorim. The reason that I said the fish was frozen was because it's hard to find fresh Kalchi in market. Almost every Kalchi is sold frozen. Anyway, the owner should explain why the Kalchi we had was salty inside. I cleared all seasonings on top and tasted the flesh inside. It was already seasoned with salt. Koreans don't usually cook that way. If that fish was fresh, it shouldn't have any saltiness inside. That is the way of cooking. Next, I will talk about the Spicy Pork. There is a certain type of meat normally used for Spicy Pork. When we had Spicy Pork on that day, I noticed the meat was different, and furthermore I saw a few chunky meats that should not be there. I could not enjoy the dish but had to stop eating it. The owner's response is very...

This Korean restaurant in Old Centreville Crossing, Centreville, offers an impressive array of authentic Korean dishes. The ambiance is clean, and the service is consistently good. We enjoyed trying their Samgye-tang (chicken soup with rice and ginseng), which was delicious. Due to the windy and chill weather, we decided to try braised skatefish in the spicy stew. It was delicious —perfectly hot and bursting with flavor, the fish was soft, and the radish blocks were soft and savory in the delightful broth. The spicy squid was equally fantastic, stir-fried with vegetables and finished with a chilly-based sauce; every dish paired perfectly with a bowl of rice. This place is worth a visit!
