Dog-Friendly Trail Near LA | This Hidden Gem in San Dimas is Amazing!

Hey everyone! Not sure where to take your furry friend this weekend? Nuts’ mom is here to recommend a hidden trail we discovered in San Dimas! This route is absolutely perfect: • Few people 🚶♀️ • Plenty of shade 🌿 • A small creek runs through 💧 • Round trip only takes about 1 hour — a lazy dog owner’s paradise! 😌 📍 Trail Info: Michael D. Antonovich Trail There are two entrances—I personally recommend the first one: Entrance 1 (Recommended): 15 S Valley Center Ave, San Dimas ‼️ ⚠️ Don’t use Apple Maps for this address—it’s wrong! Use Google Maps! Entrance 2: 1079 S San Dimas Ave I like starting from Entrance 1, walking leisurely to the hilltop, then turning back. Entrance 2 has very limited parking on weekends! 👍 Why I Highly Recommend It? 🌳 Shaded the whole way: Most of the trail is under tree cover—great even in summer! 💧 Three clear creeks: Perfect shallow spots for your pup to splash around in—so much fun! 🤫 Quiet & less crowded: Very low-key, even on weekends. If your dog listens well, you can let them off-leash to run free! ⚠️ Important Tips (Must Read!) 🐍 Stay alert: The woods are full of wildlife—including snakes! Keep your dog away from thick bushes! 👟 Wear proper shoes: Rocks near the creek can be slippery—wear anti-slip outdoor shoes! 🦟 Bug spray needed: Mosquitoes and bugs are common—spray yourself and your pup! 📝 Final Thoughts from Nuts’ Mom: If you’re looking for a place not too far from LA where your dog can run freely and you can enjoy a relaxed hike, this San Dimas trail is definitely the one! (Nuts had a blast on this weekend adventure! 🐶💚) #NearLosAngeles #LADogWalking #LADogParks #HikingWithDogs #PetFriendlyOutdoors #DogFriendlyLA #WeekendExploration #NatureWithPets #SanDimasTrails
