Don’t Miss This High-End, Niche Treasure of a Museum in London…

🌟 The Garden Museum was one of the museums our teachers took us to visit during my undergraduate studies at UAL. We had a project to redesign this museum. Although I didn’t get to work on this topic, I was deeply impressed by the museum. It’s a transformation from a church that retains many vintage features along with new aesthetic presentations.👨‍🌾🎨 🌟 The Garden Museum in London, formerly known as the Museum of Garden History, is the UK’s only museum dedicated to garden art, history, and design. After an 18-month redevelopment, the museum reopened in 2017. The Sackler Garden, designed by Dan Pearson, is part of the redevelopment project. The church, which was no longer in use since 1972, was originally planned for demolition.🏛️🖼️ 🌿It’s located adjacent to Lambeth Palace on Lambeth Road, south of the River Thames in London. In 1976, John and Rosemary Nicholson discovered the graves of two 17th-century royal gardeners and plant hunters, John Tradescant the Elder and John Tradescant the Younger, in the church’s graveyard, which inspired them to create the Museum of Garden History. It’s the world’s first museum dedicated to the history of gardening.☕️👩‍🌾 🌟 The free exhibition mainly focuses on the history of gardening. The museum has a café and a small bookstore. Plus, it occasionally hosts gardening exhibitions and craft workshops.📚 #AestheticsOfLife #AestheticEnhancement #LondonTravel #LondonMuseums #LondonExhibitions #LondonLife #London #ExhibitionDesign #MuseumAesthetics #UniversityOfTheArtsLondon
