The Garden — Restaurant in England

After hearing many great reviews about this place we decided to dine last night for a very special evening. Having just booked our wedding we wanted to officially surprise and appoint the maid of honer and best man followed by a celebratory meal and drink afterwards. Everything went to plan until arrival. Ok we were running 10 mins late due to the celebrations at a local bar but we did call ahead and advise of this. On arrival we were told our table was turning at 8pm, so our booking was for 18:30, so arriving 18:40 we had 1h20mins so already felt rushed. Our starter orders were swiftly taken. Starters were ok... great cheese Brie bites , but had to feedback on the poor quality/taste of the garlic creamy mushrooms as they just tasted like water as if they’ve been frozen and defrosted losing their complete taste. The chef did say he would try them later to see where they had gone wrong. Mains were ordered and arrived promptly. 2 x 12oz & 2x 6oz Iron steaks.... Amazing and cooked to perfection. As we were half way through our mains the manager came over and said I have a an idea if you wanted to stay for desert we could move you to the table behind as that’s 4 and we need this 6 for those waiting. Was absolutely gobsmacked however continued to eat without trying to feel pressurised. As we were evidently taken too long the manager managed to get two ladies to move table to enable them to make up a six needed. What am amazing place! We went for some lunch and then after work a cocktail and omg was it delicious! All food was cooked fresh and made to order so much flavour I highly recommend there chili chicken fajita type toastie with there chips it was delicious 😋 pack of flavour not too spicy perfectly toasted, there service is astounding such freindly staff great atmosphere, music playing at just the right level quick service too, prices were so cheap it’s incredible!! I highly recommend this place if you’re in Chippenham for some lunch/ dinner/ drinks or even a bottomless brunch which I’m definitely going back and doing! The Garden in Chippenham is lovely. We had not heard of it before going there. We noticed The Garden as we were walking around Chippenham and thought from the outside it looked like a lovely little place. We had a look at the menu and we were eager to go inside and get something to eat. We were still able to order off of the breakfast menu so we had a bacon sandwich each and some pancakes to share. The pancakes were incredible! The bacon sandwiches equally as nice and the coffee was high quality tasting and lovely. We had a look at the lunch/dinner menu when we were there and the food sounded amazing. I would love to go back and try some of their other food. I definitely will if I go back to Chippenham...
