Don't Choose Hawaii If You Only Have One Week
🌺I recently spent a week in Oahu by chance, and my biggest takeaway was this: if you're short on time and don't believe in cramming your vacation like a "special forces" tour, give Hawaii more time — because one week is simply not enough. ✈️ Flight Tips Highly recommend transferring through Tokyo and flying ANA's "Sea Turtle" plane from Narita to Honolulu. Even economy class is comfortable, meals are good, and the cabin is spotless. The layover is stress-free, and Narita Airport is great for shopping. 🛍️ 🏡 Accommodation Most people prefer staying in Waikīkī Beach — it's convenient, but parking is a real challenge and expensive. This time, I chose an Airbnb with free parking 🅿️ — a game-changer! The apartment was more spacious than a hotel room, priced similarly, and far more comfortable. 🗺️ Attractions First-timers should prioritize must-see spots. Consider the Go City Pass (2, 3, or 5 days) — it covers multiple attractions and can save you hundreds of dollars if planned well. However, most activities in Hawaii require advance reservations, so time management is key! Skip the zoo and sea world unless traveling with young kids. Don’t spend too much time at the botanical garden. Diamond Head requires reservations — book several days in advance, or you’ll miss out! 🍽️ Food Endless options: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese pho — you name it! Poke bowls are a must-try — the fish is incredibly fresh, right from the ocean. 🐟 🛍️ Shopping Great stores to explore: Kith, Patagonia, Chrome Hearts, Lululemon, and luxury boutiques. Feel like trying your luck? Hermès might just surprise you! 👜 💎 Final Thought There are countless guides out there, but the real key to experiencing Hawaii fully? Time. Don’t rush — let the island work its magic slowly. #US #Hawaii #Honolulu
