Downtown Portland Thai Food - Farmhouse Kitchen

I really need to sing high praises for this Thai restaurant—with over 5,000 Google Reviews and a 4.9 rating, it’s clearly got some serious skills 🤩! My friend and I (two girls total) ordered five dishes, and we actually finished every single one—they were that good 😋! First up, the must-try Volcano Noodle 🌋. In the middle of the noodles sits a tender, fall-off-the-bone beef rib; there’s so much meat on it that some even fell onto the side plate! The noodles are pretty spicy, which was perfect for me and my friend—we both love spicy food 🌶️. Tucked in the middle of the noodle bowl are some lightly stir-fried veggies 🥬, and every slurp of the spicy noodles was totally satisfying. Next, Papaya Salad 🥗—a refreshing appetizer, but this place does NOT hold back on the bird’s eye chili! It’s another spicy dish, and it had me hooked right away—so flavorful and zesty. Then there’s the Green Curry 🍛. It was my first time having fried eggplant in curry, and it blew my mind! The eggplant’s skin was crispy, while the inside was soft, tender, and juicy—such a wonderful surprise 🥚. The curry itself is slightly sweet, with strong coconut and creamy notes, but the eggplant really made this dish stand out. We also got the Seafood Platter 🦞, which had squid, shrimp, mussels, and scallops. It’s spicy too, seasoned with Sichuan peppercorns for a numbing-spicy kick (ma la). All the seafood was fresh and plump—super satisfying. For dessert, we ordered Mango Sticky Rice 🥭. It’s a small portion, and the rice is purple—so pretty (I forgot to take a photo, sadly 😅)! The drinks were just so-so in taste, but they’re perfect for Instagram 📸—the marshmallows on top actually sparkle! I just have one request… Is there any wealthy Chinese boss out there who sees this? Please invest in turning this into a chain! I really hope it opens in Atlanta 🤞! #ThaiFood #PortlandFood #PortlandRestaurantHopping #DeliciousInPortland #InstantlyInSoutheastAsia #EnjoyingGoodFood #Can’tStopEating #StuffedToTheBrim
