DTLA🇪🇸 Restaurant | San Laurel's New Menu Falling Short?

📍 San Laurel Their new meal this year has removed some of the popular dishes that many people recommended. I ordered a few dishes based on recommendations, and while nothing was a disaster 💣, nothing was particularly impressive either. 🥗 **Persimmon Stracciatella Salad** A refreshing salad with cheese and persimmon. It's light and crisp, perfect for starting the meal. 🥗 🐟 **Hiramasa Crudo** The tangy, raw fish is quite appetizing. I loved the combination of blueberries with the fish—it adds a nice, rich texture and flavor. 🍣 🦆 **Duck Breast** The duck has a sweet taste and a decent texture, though there was a slight gaminess. It might be better if eaten hot. The side of carrot puree was pretty good. 🦆 🍄 **Wild Mushrooms in Laurel Cream** A classic pairing of mushrooms and cream served with bread. It's a safe choice and quite aromatic. 🍄 🍮 **Dessert**: Basque cheesecake with guava slush The cheesecake seemed a bit undercooked and overly soft and wet. 🍰 I've seen many people checking in here on xhs 📸. When I visited at 7 PM, it was pretty empty, but the indoor ambiance was nice and quiet.
