Dublin Brunch 🥪
Brother Hubbard 📍 Address: 153 Capel St, North City, Dublin, D01 V9V0 (There’s also a branch in Area 6, so if you’re in the south, go for that one!) A brunch place in the city center. I went there for brunch with a friend I’ve known for a year but never met in person! 🥢 We first met through a student union event. Later, we chatted a lot while looking for jobs and changing to the Stamp 1G visa! 📝 Finally, we both had time and decided to catch up over a meal! Before going, I had no idea about Brother Hubbard, but after checking Xiaohongshu, I found so many recommendations! 🌟 The store in Area 1 has plenty of seats, but you must book in advance. It’s super popular 🔥 and gets really crowded and noisy! My friend and I had to shout to talk! 💬 The dishes are super delicate and look amazing! The place is filled with green plants, making it perfect for taking photos! 🌿🎁 I ordered a Matcha Latte, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Stick to coffee! ☕ It’s just a very light and ordinary matcha milk, almost tasteless. The latte art is nice, but the drink itself is really nothing special. 😔 🌭 The Porchetta Crispy roasted bread with slow-cooked pork! The meat is juicy and tender, and the sauce is super flavorful! 🍒 It looks like a small portion, but it fills you up quickly! 🌭 The Moroccan Eggs Zaalouk Crispy roasted bread as a base, which is super fragrant and has a great texture! On top is a thick layer of bean paste that’s not too salty and has a smooth consistency. There are lots of well-cooked vegetables like mushrooms 🍄, pumpkin 🎃, and onions! They’re all very flavorful, and the texture is super rich. On top are two poached eggs! The most special part is the seasoning on top—cumin and sesame seeds! I thought it was a Northeastern Chinese barbecue seasoning! Super surprising! 🤩 This dish is super filling! I went there after my morning ballet class, and then I went to Grace’s class for another 2 hours of dancing in the evening. I couldn’t eat anything for dinner! Chickpeas are really filling! My friend is studying HR at TCD. We chatted and found out that finding a job in HR in 2021 fall was super hard. Everyone else went back to their home countries, and she ended up switching to engineering! No HR for her! 😱 It’s so hard to find HR jobs. I have another friend from UCD who also switched fields. It’s so tough! 😔 We complained about rent, transportation, and the weather together! Hahaha. Next time, I’ll take her to see my cat! 🐱 #DublinLife #StudyingInIreland🇮🇪 #Ireland #WeekendExploration #DublinExploration #DublinFood #LifeInIreland #IrishWeekend #WorkerWeekend #Worker #WeekendForWorkers
