Dublin Dining | Hidden Italian Gem in a Lane

**Il Vicoletto** I booked a table four days in advance, and there was only one spot and time slot left. The restaurant is a bit cramped, but most of the waitstaff are friendly. This is a place that prides itself on "authentic" and "traditional" Italian cuisine. The menu is limited, and the portions are small, so there aren't many standout dishes. 👉🏻 Gamberi Rossi Argentini piccanti💰: 12.9€ This is a must-order dish at every table—Argentinian red shrimp with toasted bread. The garlic and chili seasoning is mild. The bread is just a bit warm, and I didn't really like the texture. The shrimp are pretty big, but the freshness feels average. 😐 👉🏻 Antipasto del Vicoletto💰: 24.5€ It's exactly what you see in the picture, and the taste is pretty much what you'd expect. Burrata cheese with capocollo that has just the right amount of saltiness. It's not greasy and comes with some salad. 🥗 👉🏻 Tagliatelle al Ragu di cervo Irlandese💰: 19.5€ This is a Tuscan-style venison ragù with wide pasta. The pasta is delicious, chewy, and cooked just right. 🍝 👉🏻 Tagliatelle ai frutti di mare e bisque di gamberi Rossi💰: 17.5€ This tomato seafood pasta is also a must-order at every table. The pasta is as good as the other one, but the seasoning is pretty average. The seafood feels like a supermarket frozen mix, and there's a bit of a fishy taste in the sauce. 🦐 👉🏻 Pistachio Tiramisu💰: 10€ The tiramisu here is pistachio-flavored. It has a very fine texture, and the pistachio flavor is strong. It's delicious and reminds me of pistachio gelato in Italy. However, there's almost no coffee or alcohol flavor. 🍰 👉🏻 Sparkling Wine💰: 12.5€/18.5€ I saw other tables ordering this and was curious, so I asked the waiter. Both are Cava, very refreshing sparkling wines that are a bit like champagne. I have to say, the wine glasses here are really nice! 🥂 #Ireland #DublinEats #IrishLife
