Dunedin is such an unexpected gem! 🌊✨
If Queenstown’s beauty was predictably stunning, then Dunedin is criminally underrated! On the drive from Queenstown to Dunedin, we took the coastal route—sunny skies, empty roads, and endless photo ops 📸. We stopped at tiny beaches, watched kids learning to surf 🏄, and passed lanky, sun-kissed teens, marveling at their carefree energy and the laid-back vibe of life here. 🌻 We stayed at St Clair Hotel, where our window framed St Clair Beach—waves crashing, surfers riding the swells 🏄♂️, all glowing in golden light. The drive there was just as magical, with winding roads, steep hills, and houses perched with million-dollar views at every turn. A must-visit? Sandfly Bay (thanks, sisters—"Chinese don’t lie to Chinese!" 😆). The journey there alone was jaw-dropping—rolling green hills, sheep grazing lazily 🐑, and the endless ocean stretching beyond. Sadly, Tunnel Beach was closed for maintenance, and we didn’t have time to explore Dunedin’s charming city center... but that just means we’ll be back! 👋🏻 #SouthIslandNZ #NewZealand #Dunedin #HiddenGems #SandflyBay
