St Clair beach is a great surf spot near Dunedin. The Esplanade overlooks the surf and there are a few cool shops and cafes nearby to keep you busy for a couple of hours. The lime electric scooters can be found along the Esplanade and are good fun. There is a great cafe near the pools on the south side which I would recommend. The surf itself looks fun but pretty busy....

Great place for a walk really peaceful. Had a large seal on the sand there yesterday. This is not unusual as quite often there are one or three there. At sometimes also a baby one. It was a buggar there on Monday as a surfer was found on the beach and had died. Still had the surf board tied to him. Dont know how he passed...
