East Seattle | One Meal A Day Challenge ๐Ÿฝ๏ธโœจ

Had to make the most of this unexpectedly sunny weekend in Bellevue for work โ€“ so I turned it into a solo food adventure! ๐Ÿฅ 1. Farine Bakery & Cafe A popular brunch and pastry spot buzzing with energy โ€“ you find your own seat and basically serve yourself, so I skipped the tip ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Tart ๐Ÿซ โ€“ Rich and creamy, not overly sweet, but so heavy I had to split it into three sittings (hello, sugar rush!). $6.50 Seafood Tartine ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆž๐Ÿฆ€ โ€“ Layers of shrimp, lobster, crab over fennel and toasted brioche. Light, flavorful, and delicious! Came with a side (half salad, half fries โ€“ so thoughtful!). $17 ๐Ÿฆ 2. Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream Pretty basic homemade-style scoops โ€“ I could probably make this myself? Tried samples: Coconut Chunk, Iced Latte, Honey Lavender Went with Honey Lavender ๐Ÿ’œ โ€“ strong floral notes, real lavender bits, creamy texture. A very large scoop โ€“ seriously, share this if you can. Got way too sweet by the end. Staff wasnโ€™t warm, but no tip expected! $7 ๐Ÿœ 3. Fern Thai Cafe Ordered the much-hyped Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) โ€“ level 3 spice ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Actually had some kick! Generous seafood portion (3 each of shrimp, mussels, squid, scallops) Good, but not mind-blowing โ€“ more sweet than I expected. Drank water all through the second half. $23 All prices above are before tax & tip. Eating out in the U.S. really adds upโ€ฆ Time to recover in the cafeteria this week ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ’ธ #SeattleEats #BellevueFood #SoloDining #FoodReview #SeattleFoodie #EastsideEats #NoTipLife #BudgetEats
