Eastern Washington Eats | Spokane Restaurant & Café Guide 🍽️☕

Recently visited Spokane and — let’s be real — the city isn’t packed with attractions, but it definitely has some delicious food spots! 😋 I tried two bakeries and two restaurants, all located near downtown. Here’s my honest review for fellow foodies: 🧁 Madeleine's Cafe & Patisserie This place is hyped, but honestly… their brunch is just okay. Pastries > brunch. Coffee was average. ✨ Must-try: Chai Croissant — creamy filling + flaky layers = perfection! Other brunch items weren’t memorable, so I’d skip those. ☕️ Indaba Coffee Wow — their coffee truly impressed me! 🙌 🔸 Lemon Vanilla Latte (Hot): Creamy with a refreshing citrus twist 🔸 House Butterscotch Latte: Sweet, salty, and super rich 🔸 Cold Brew: Smooth with fruity notes — so good! 🔸 Cafe Miel: Pretty basic — just a cinnamon honey latte. Not special. 🍤 Vieux Carre NOLA Kitchen My second time here — still amazing, though service can be slow ⏳. Plan accordingly! 🔹 Red Crab Beignet: Crispy outside, cool creamy crab inside — unique! 🔹 Jambalaya: Still tasty, but smaller portion and very salty 🔹 Po’Boy & Crawfish Openfaced Sandwich: Crunchy seafood + soft bread = 😍 🔹 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp & Grits: MY FAVE! 🤤 Crispy bacon, tender shrimp, creamy savory-sweet grits. I’d drive back just for this! 🍅 Baba Spokane Busy at night — book ahead! 📅 🔸 Mushroom Hummus + Pita: INSANELY good — I’m still dreaming about it 🔸 Lamb & Clam Stew: So flavorful, I drank almost all the broth 🥣 🔸 Fried Veggies & Squid: Crispy + yogurt dip = fun combo 🔸 Shakshuka: Pretty standard tomato-pepper stew. Not bad, not great. Spokane might be quiet, but it’s definitely worth a food trip — especially if you love cozy cafés and rich, flavorful dishes! 🚗💨 #100PlacesToTry #SeattleFoodGuide #SeattleTravel #SpokaneEats #WashingtonState #FoodTour #USADriving #LifeInTheUS #NorthAmericaTravel
