Eating My Way Through LA's Italian Cuisine Plan! No.1!

This year, I'm on a mission to make up for last year's missed trip to Italy by exploring all the amazing Italian restaurants in Los Angeles! 🍝 Today, we visited **The Factory Kitchen**, a downtown LA favorite that has been listed in the Michelin Guide for several years. It's truly a top-tier Italian restaurant in LA, with ingredients, service, ambiance, and a wine list that would rank in the top 10 of LA's Italian dining scene. 🌟 For starters, we ordered the peperΓΊ and prosciutto. As a huge arugula fan, this simple yet refreshing appetizer was perfect. The sweet red peppers paired with creamy cheese were a great match for the pre-dinner drink. πŸ₯¬ Their prosciutto is something I have to highly recommend! It's truly exceptional – a 22-month aged, dry-cured delight that's leagues above what you'd find in a supermarket. In fact, I've rarely tasted such delicious prosciutto even in famous Italian delis! The bread beneath it is perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The star of the dish is the big dollop of stracciatella in the middle – it's incredibly creamy, rich, and milky. It's so good, you'll want to take some home! πŸ₯ͺ For the main course, since we were both in the mood for pasta, we both went with it. Their focaccina is also very famous and delicious – I highly recommend giving it a try! πŸ₯ͺ As a big pesto lover, I didn't hesitate to order the green fettuccine, called mandilli di seta. True to its name, it's incredibly smooth and silky! The pesto sauce is rich yet mild, with a unique and distinct flavor that sets it apart from others. It's the kind of dish that makes you crave it every few weeks. 🌿 My partner, who always orders randomly but never disappoints, went for the casonzei this time – a traditional Italian meat-filled ravioli with a creamy white sauce. The cheese is perfectly melted, with just the right amount of richness and a slight firmness when cooled. The meat filling is pure and juicy, with no vegetables mixed in. It's simply delicious! 🍜 We wrapped up the meal with a slice of tiramisu – absolutely satisfying! 🍰 #LosAngelesFood #LosAngelesLife #ItalianRestaurantInLA #ItalianCuisineInLA
