Edinburgh | Discovering Love Around the Corner at a Cat Café 😺

Shop Name: maison de moggy While wandering near Edinburgh Castle, I stumbled upon this charming cat café, which claims to be the first of its kind in Edinburgh. Intrigued, I decided to step in. The entrance fee is twelve quid, and the drinks are around four quid each. The taste is pretty average, but I also ordered a brownie. After heating, the molten chocolate burst through, overpowering the slightly plastic-like sauce, and it turned out to be surprisingly delicious! 🍰 Usually, it's recommended to book on the maison de moggy website in advance, but I just walked in that day, and it was fine. The owner explained the rules while we were putting on shoe covers. You can pet the cats, but you're not allowed to hold them. 😻 When I visited, the other guests were all cat lovers with strong boundaries. We chatted casually, laughed together as the adorable cats entertained us, and took turns petting them to avoid making the cats or others uncomfortable. The owner was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions in detail, sharing insights about the cats' breeds, fur colors, eye colors, likes and dislikes, and their relationships with each other. It was a very chill and comfortable experience. 🐱 The cats were all incredibly cute. Two of them were sleeping undisturbed on a wardrobe, while the others alternated between napping and playing, chasing anything that moved. They were so adorable and truly beautiful to look at. 🐈 I'd suggest spending a relaxed hour or two here on an easygoing afternoon. It's the perfect way to unwind. 🕒 Address: 17 West Port, Edinburgh EH1 2JA #CaféCats #EdinburghCatCafé #EdinburghTravel #Edinburgh #EdinburghCastle
