EHLer's Day Trip – Lyon Travel
Hello everyone! Today, the Student Union has prepared a comprehensive Lyon travel guide for you, taking you to explore this French capital of food and culture. Whether it's the historical charm of the romantic old town or the fashion trends of modern neighborhoods, Lyon is definitely a city that will make you reluctant to leave! Are you ready? Let's set off together~🚶♀️ 🌉 Day 1: Experience the Blend of Modernity and History 🎨 Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon): This area retains medieval architecture and maze-like alleys. A casual walk allows you to feel the ancient French romance. Along the cobblestone paths, explore hidden cafes and handicraft stores~ 🍷 Lunch recommendation: Find an authentic French restaurant to taste classic Lyon cuisine! We recommend the century-old Brasserie Georges, a restaurant featured in the reality show Hua Shao~ The dishes are all surprising, and you can't go wrong with any order. 🏞️ Place Bellecour: The third-largest square in France. Take a photo to commemorate, then rent a scooter to start your urban adventure! 🗿 Statue de Saint-Exupéry et du Petit Prince: Located on the west side of Place Bellecour~ 👑 Little Prince souvenir shop (6 Rue Saint-Jean): You must not miss this childlike Little Prince gift shop, but pay attention to the business hours. You can check on Google Map in advance to avoid making a wasted trip! 🗺️ Day 2: Stroll Through the Old Town and Feel the Flow of Time 🏰 Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière: Take the funicular up the hill to overlook the magnificent scenery of the entire Lyon. The interior of the church is exquisite, don't forget to take photos~ 🖼️ Les Murs Peints (Lyon's Murals): Lyon is famous for its exquisite urban murals. There are many giant murals throughout the city, vividly reproducing Lyon's history and daily life. One of the most famous murals is "La Fresque des Lyonnais", depicting 28 important historical figures of Lyon from ancient times to the present. Can you find the Little Prince hidden in the mural~ 🌊 Rhône River & Saône River: The two rivers meet in the center of Lyon. A walk along the banks is the best choice. There are specially built walking and cycling paths along the rivers, with lush greenery on both sides, very suitable for relaxing. It is especially recommended to take a walk at sunset. The reflections on the river and the city lights complement each other, extremely romantic! We hope our guide can help you better explore this charming city and experience a different French style!
