English style decoration will look great in photos.

📍 1301 Gladstone Ave, Victoria, BC V8R 1R9 This little cafĂ© sits on a corner in Fernwood—small, but always busy, with seats that feel a bit tight. They serve light meals and desserts, though the placement of the sweets is puzzling: instead of using the glass display case, they’re tucked in a little corner. I’d already paid and was about to leave when I spotted the cookies—of course I sheepishly asked JJ, who was still in line, to grab one for me! 😂 There are quite a few servers, and they bring food to your table if you’re dining in—I felt a little guilty not leaving a tip. But Fernwood itself was a nice surprise! It’s just a small neighborhood, but the English-style decor is so charming—definitely photo-worthy. 📾 🆗 Americano 💰3.5 Basic coffee, a bit sour and tart, not fragrant enough—and not my favorite bean. But none of that matters—if it wakes me up, it’s a good coffee! ☕ ✅ Small Feature Salad 💰6.25 The day I went, the feature was cauliflower salad—super simple, just cauliflower and some fragrant herb leaves. It’s so refreshing! The oven didn’t dry out the cauliflower: the florets are tender and creamy, while the stems stay crisp. The seasoning is a mix of sour, salty, and sweet—way more flavorful than you’d expect from a salad. It’d be even better if they used a little less olive oil, or served it warm! đŸ„Š 🆗 Cookie - Kitchen Sink 💰4.75 JJ got this for me—the name alone was too tempting! I’d already stepped away from the counter after paying, and with a line behind me, I was too shy to go back. “Kitchen sink” basically means it’s packed with everything—from what I could tell, there’s quinoa, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and hazelnuts. The texture’s super rich, but it’s way too sweet. Two bites are delightful, but a whole one is cloying. đŸȘ #Canada #CanadaFood #VancouverIsland #Victoria #Foodie #LifeSnippets #FoodTour #MyDailyLife
