Like others have said, disappointing.

Today our muffin had half an egg cooked into it, so obviously they didn’t mix the muffin mix enough. Imagine a toonie but a sphere of cooked (atleast it was cooked) egg white.

I ask the person at the till about the coffee. I cannot hear their response. I ask them to repeat themselves, they do but again I cannot hear them. I explain to them that the room is loud and I cannot hear what they are saying they repeat themselves and do not modulate their voice in anyway. If anything they reduce how loud they are speaking. I have perfect hearing, just had my ears tested for work.

I feel like the barista at the espresso machine was dying inside and wanted to assist but stayed out of it.

We were not offered an option to stay which would have been our preference but since we needed to eat breakfast I guess it was good that our coffee and muffin were to-go and that decision was made for us.

Last time this resulted in my partner getting a large cappuccino (who would order that?)(gross).

Both times this resulted in us not ordering breakfast and just buying coffee and leaving.

I guess we’re not coming back.

Edit/Response to the Owners Response: yes, you’re correct. It...

This is one business I've been dealing with on a regular basis since i was a teenager (for almost 20years). Ive watched it grow, change, and develop into a truly extraordinary local gem. Yea, its small. Yea, its not a name you see everywhere. It stands out for being true to itself, and focused on the quality of coffee and espresso. Its not just another coffee shop. They roast exquisite small batch coffees that you just cant find everywhere. The espresso is my picture of perfection. The baristas are talented - not just pushing automated buttons. The bites are great too. Just be prepared to wait during peak hours, this place lines up out the doors and gets jam packed! If you catch them during slower hours (recommended) you'll find the staff genuine, happy and very friendly. True fernwood/north park/victoria personalities. Proud of our town, and proud of their work.

Go for a latte, and enjoy. It will be noteworthy flavour to the true coffee lover. Perhaps, like me, you'll find it to be your favourite coffee...

Starts terribly. Giant line. Which is not great but fine. It’s a Sunday I’m sure they’re busy. I have half an hour to get in and out. Line takes like 5-6 minutes .i finally get to the counter and the girl is counting out her tip from the previous transaction. No one second, no sorry, no hello. Silence. She finally says hi takes our order and we move to the very cramped and heavily populated waiting area. We had ordered a pop, a blonde bar, and an iced americano. The pop and the bar came right away. No coffee. It’s busy I understand. They have one girl working the coffee station who is moving like it’s a slow Tuesday. I end up having to leave before receiving my coffee. My boyfriend stays to let them know I left. When telling them the Girl at the counter just shrugged.

I want to support local business, but at Starbucks I would have had my I coffee with time to spare and wouldn’t be...

We were excited to get some great coffee and food as this spot! We each had a cappuccino and shared an espresso—everything was great! Plenty of nondairy milk options if you have those needs like me. I was happy to have a great coffee with oat milk since some places tend to have a hard time hitting the right notes with milk options. The food was awesome. I loved my bake with chickpeas and eggs. The bread they serve with the bake is also delicious. I would highly recommend this spot if you can!

Little June is a super cute cafe in Fernwood area. Tried the iced Maple Shay Shay and it's super creamy dreamy caffeination. Very bright, high ceiling feel inside, though I found it warm for temperature to sit inside, I enjoyed the street table and chairs outside down Gladstone Ave. Also discovered a little sitting nook they have behind the front till area through the door on the left, and they got a community board too with interesting events and local services offered.
