Enjoying Autumn in Boston | Walden Pond 🍂 or Apple Picking 🍎
The most beautiful season in Boston is here! If you don’t feel like driving two hours to the White Mountains for a trail hike this weekend, you might consider heading to the closer Walden Pond to enjoy the fall colors, or visit a farm for some apple picking. 🍂 Walden Pond Walden Pond, located in the tranquil town of Concord, is already a visual feast with golden and fiery red leaves 🍁 reflecting off the water’s surface. I bet it will be even more colorful next week. 🍎With the weather warming up, more families are coming to walk around the lake. The full loop takes about 1 hour, roughly 2 miles, with a light sweat and a feeling of refreshment! There are also many brave souls swimming and kayaking in the lake, which is quite impressive! 🍂On the right side of the lake, you can still see the remains of Thoreau’s cabin in the woods, offering a moment to reflect on the healing power of nature’s beauty. 🍎 Carlson Orchard for Apple Picking It’s time to enjoy freshly picked autumn apples again. This is my second visit to Carlson Orchard, which is one of the closer farms to Boston with nice scenery. Today, there was even live music to accompany the apple cider, making it very comfortable! There are two bag options for PYO (Pick Your Own): a large 40🔪 bag and a smaller 30🔪 bag. We chose the 40🔪 one, and it was filled with over thirty apples in the end. There are several varieties available in the orchard (sadly, no honey crispy this year…), and everyone agreed that the evercrispy is the best—sweet, crispy, and juicy. The green apples are also good, while the other varieties are subjective.🌾🎶 Do you have any must-visit autumn spots to recommend? #BostonLife #Boston #WaldenPond #Thoreau #ApplePicking #Nature #AutumnFootprints #MyAutumnView #NorthAmericaLife #NorthAmericaTravel
