Enjoying the Trail While Admiring Tropical Plants 🌿
We rented a car from downtown Hilo and drove north for about 30 minutes 🚗. It was quite unusual on the Hawaiian Islands—we had to pay for parking ($10) 🅿️. As a state park, the admission fee was $10 per person 🎫. Payments were made at automated machines, but there were staff members on site, which made the process feel a bit automated... However, the staff would guide us, ensuring that even first-time visitors could complete the payment smoothly 👩💼👨💼. After going down the stairs, you can walk along either side of the path, and the whole trip takes about 30 minutes 🚶. We chose to go right →. There were all kinds of tropical plants there 🌴🌿, many of which were wild—it was simply amazing 😲! If you’re interested in tropical plants, this alone is more than enough to make your heart flutter ❤️... The Akaka Falls itself is 134 meters high, but due to the slight distance, the Nikko Hanazono Falls (Hanauma Falls), which you can view up close, feels even more spectacular! 💦✨ #HawaiiTravel #AkakaFallsAdventure #TropicalPlantExploration
