Akaka Falls hike and waterfall was beautiful and fun. We had a group of 10+ including kids and it was very doable. The path is basically paved the entire way and has hand railings most of the way.

As you walk along the path you are going up and down stairs - if they are hard for you, this might be a good one to skip.

The hike isn’t terribly long. During this visit, part of the trailing was under construction so we didn’t get to do the entire loop.

There are tons of different plants and flowers along the path. We were able to see the two different waterfalls clearly. We came just after it had rained 3-5 inches so there was a lot of run off and the water was a dirty brown color, but still pretty nonetheless.

There are bathrooms at the end of the parking lot, but none along the trail. It was $10 for parking a vehicle and $5 per person. There are people sitting at the entrance of the hike to ensure these fees are collected. They were very professional and helpful.

Overall, it was a bit pricey for what it was, but still an enjoyable experience. I don’t know if I would do it again… unless it was free. Kind of a been-there-done-that scenario. Great experience though - would recommend!
