Enjoying Yakitori in San Diego โ€“ Letโ€™s Have Some Chicken Skewers! ๐Ÿข

I had yakitori twice in three days while in San Diego โ€“ it was so satisfying! ๐Ÿ˜‹ My favorite skewers were chicken heart, gizzard, blood vessels, wings, skin, and liver. Honestly, their chicken skewers are absolutely delicious! ๐Ÿ‘ Besides chicken, the pork, oysters, tea-soaked rice, and beef were also great. ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿฆช๐Ÿš๐Ÿฎ The chef grills right in front of you, giving it a bit of an omakase vibe. ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ”ฅ The head chef is really cute โ€“ he clinked glasses with us for a beer and even flashed a peace sign โœŒ๐Ÿป while grilling, making the atmosphere super relaxed. This place focuses on the natural flavor of the ingredients, and you can tell the offal is very fresh, with minimal seasoning. ๐Ÿง‚ The chef just sprinkles a little salt before grilling, adding a bit of sauce when theyโ€™re almost done. The chicken heart bursts with juice in one bite; the gizzard is chewy; the liver is fragrant and sizzling with oil; the wings are tasty; and the skin is perfectly grilled โ€“ not too crispy or too soft. ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ’ฆ Anyway, just dig in and enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜„ When leaving, I complimented the chef and food using the Japanese Iโ€™ve learned. (I actually ordered a lot but didnโ€™t take photos because the skewers were served one by one as they were ready, and I finished them right away๐Ÿ˜…. Itโ€™s hard to find yakitori this delicious after leaving San Diego! My photos were too rushed to capture how good it looked โ€“ I was too busy eating!) ๐Ÿ“: Yakitori Taisho #SanDiegoFood #Yakitori #JapaneseSkewers #ChickenSkewers #FoodDiary #FoodieLife #JapaneseCuisine
