Escape from London | Discovering the Tri-Colour Bay in Hastings 🚆🌊

Fleeing London, heading south—I've seen many British seaside towns, but Hastings completely blew me away! 💙 📍 Just under 2 hours by train from London, this historic gem is perfect for a day trip. ⚔️ Fun fact: A thousand years ago, Norman arrows crossed the Channel here and changed England forever. My Itinerary 📝 1️⃣ Book tickets on Trainline (London Charing Cross → Hastings, ~1.5h). ⚠️ No e-tickets! Collect them at the station with your original payment card (chip required). 2️⃣ 11:15 AM departure → Arrive by 12:50 PM. 3️⃣ The town is tiny—from the station, the beach is just across the street! 🏖️ 4️⃣ Stroll along the coast (~20 mins) to East Hill. 🚠 Skipped the cliff railway—opted for the stairs instead! The view from the top? Stunning. 🌿 Huge grassy field up there—perfect for a chill break. 5️⃣ Hiked down to West Hill (~10 mins). 🌊 The view wasn’t as good as East Hill’s, but I got lucky—saw the rare tri-colour sea! (Turquoise, navy, emerald—unreal!) 6️⃣ Walked back to town (~10 mins), caught the 3:15 PM train to London. ⏳ Total trip time: ~3 hours—easy & relaxing! 💭 Perfect for: Solo travelers, quick getaways, or anyone craving serene coastal vibes without the crowds. #LondonDayTrips #EscapeToHastings #UKSeaside #HiddenGems #SoloTravel #StudyUK
