Especially Good for “Airport Food”! 🍽️✈️
While waiting at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with a few hours to spare, we went on the hunt for a spot to sit down and enjoy a real meal. We walked through Gates A, B, and C, checking out all the options — and while there were plenty, most were either closed, had no seating, or were packed. The idea of holding our food while squeezed into the noisy central terminal with hundreds of our "closest friends" wasn’t exactly appealing. 🧭 A Hidden Escape Upstairs Then I spotted a menu with an arrow pointing up — something I’d never noticed before. Tucked away on a mezzanine level, there was a quieter, less crowded space. We took the elevator (since we had carry-ons), and discovered BrewTop Social — the only restaurant upstairs with a full bar and plenty of open seats! 😠 A Bumpy Start… We tried to grab a quieter table toward the back, but a rude staff member shooed us away, saying that area was “for adults only.” He didn’t even offer to seat us elsewhere. I almost walked out — but we were tired, hungry, and not in the mood to keep searching. 🙌 Saved by a Kind Server Thankfully, our actual server was wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and attentive despite being one of just two servers working the whole restaurant. He turned the experience around completely! 🥗 Fresh & Satisfying Meals We each ordered a grilled chicken salad: Mine: Southwest-style with corn and black beans 🌽 My wife’s: Classic Caesar 🥬 Both were fresh, crisp, and flavorful, with tender, well-seasoned chicken. 🍷 A Much-Needed Respite Our server encouraged us to take our time — and we did. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine, relaxed, and recharged before heading to our gate. ✅ Final Thoughts Despite the rocky start with one rude employee, BrewTop Social ended up being a hidden airport gem. If you’re at Sea-Tac and want a real meal away from the chaos — head upstairs! #SeaTacEats #BrewTopSocial #AirportFoodUpgrade #HiddenGem #TravelHacks
