The best hotels are those you never want to leave—even when they’re in prime downtown locations close to attractions: a beautiful park, a lovely shopping street... Even the "standard" King room at The Newbury Boston was fully equipped, modern, bright, and featured a cozy window seat where I spent the whole morning working. I stayed on the 15th floor—what a view! 🪟✨—and was greeted by kind valets who let me keep my rental car parked briefly so I could check in, drop my luggage in the room, and return the car to the Sixt location a few blocks away. A charming bellperson brought my suitcase and backpack to the room and happily explained all the details. A polite and friendly concierge secured me a breakfast reservation the next morning at Contessa 🍳, assuring me it would be packed—and it was! The super-friendly host at reception opened the lounge—they call it the "Library"—for me, and their lovely colleague had already arranged a late checkout until 3 PM for me the day before, even after I’d returned my key... I could go on and on! Though I only stayed 24 hours, I enjoyed every moment. I also loved the delicious granola at breakfast! 🥣❤️ I’ll definitely return to The Newbury on my next trip to the city. Despite the hotel being fully booked (it was a holiday weekend) and guests filling the lobby, lounge, bar, and restaurant, the staff never let the pressure show—and never let the guests feel it.
